Round-Top Barn
More Cathedral than barn, our unique Round-Top Barn dates fron 1948. The soaring ceiling, 18 feet at its apex, is supported by beautiful handmade continuous arches, and features two Edison chandeliers for a warm, classic look. The sunset-facing, opening window provides for beautiful natural light, a cool breeze, and can be decorated to your tastes. This building is perfect for your indoor ceremony seating up to 150 guests, smaller receptions or parties, rehearsal dinners, or for cocktail hour -- and since it's right next door, the Round Top can also be paired with our Big Red Barn as part of your reception. The large concrete apron at the building's front - new for 2023 - makes a seamless transition between indoors and out.
Big Red Barn
Our Big Red Barn features 5,000 square feet of clear, unobstructed floor space with a 20' ceiling height, six oak and iron Edison Chandeliers which can be adorned with greenery or florals, string lights in the ceiling, and 14'x14' glass roll-up doors on both ends. It can host up to 350 guests for your reception. This versatile space can be used with a variety of decor, from minimalist to extraordinary -- perfect for any look, from rustic barn to elegant ballroom.
The Grounds
With 267 beautiful acres at your feet, our Grounds options are limited only by your imagination. Imagine a beautiful ceremony atop Oak Hill, with the Black Mountains and Mount Mitchell standing proudly in the background. On a clear day, you can view over 30 miles from this enchanted spot! Streams, waterfalls, footbridges, railroad trestles, beautiful horses, and other historic structures are just a few of the things you'll find on our picturesque grounds.
c.1916 Thomas W. Goforth House
Our beautiful folk-Victorian farmouse, constructed by farm owner Thomas Goforth in 1916, is included as an amenity - perfect as a private "get-ready" space for your bridal party. The wraparound front porch, recently restored in 2023, is a beautiful location for your first look, or family photos.
